We are excited to announce, thanks to the generosity of our membership,
WE RAISED $200,000
For the planned future dredging of Black Hawk Lake
As we enter year 9 of the Black Hawk Lake Restoration Project, your membership dues have supported:
- Operation of the vegetation harvester to control excess aquatic vegetation
- The fish barrier structure for the Black Hawk Lake outlet
- Bio retention cells to reduce chemical run off entering the lake
- Participation in annual lake shore clean up days
- Handicap access fish house in Town Bay
- Fish barrier structure and pump station separating the lake from Inlet Bay
- Currently developing a new BHLPA Website and Facebook page
Your BHLPA membership provides a voice of support for our lake. Our Association plays a crucial role in generating local, state and federal funding for the restoration of Black Hawk Lake.
Please renew your BHLPA membership and ask friends and relatives who love the lake to join us. Enclosed is our brochure and membership form.
